Membership Chair Update

NHMHCA has been working on “fine tuning” the membership process.  We have incorporated e-mail blasts for our members!  This will allow us to reach members, in real time, regarding new and exciting information in the field!  You will receive the blast with some leading information and then you will be directed to the website for the whole story.  Please make sure we have your correct and preferred e-mail address for this correspondence.

As most of you are aware, there are layers to our membership such as student, professional, retired and life time members.  There are also a few different ways to become a member.  You can join thru the state chapter (NHMHCA), you can take advantage of special offers at our NHMHCA sponsored workshops or you can join thru the national organization (AMHCA) by paying unified dues.  Recently AMHCA has undergone some changes and there has been a delay in the national organization getting information regarding new members to the state chapters.  This delay has resulted in new members, at the state level, not receiving their welcome packets in a timely manner.  We do apologize for the inconvenience and as we receive information from AMHCA we will get those packets out.  Rest assured, your membership is active from the time you pay the dues and you will be entitled to the discounts at the workshops, just indicate your membership through the national organization.

Finally, if you are not currently listed in the “Find a Therapist” section of the website and you would like to have your name and/or facility appear, send your preferred method of contact to:  membership@nhmhca.org   Please keep in mind that this information will be posted on the website.  Only members will be listed, all who visit the website will be able to access this information.
