Many clinicians are afraid of working with suicidal clients, but chances are high that a client experiencing suicidal ideation will eventually walk through their door. Many people get caught up in worry and focus on mandated reporting instead of taking a humanistic approach. This workshop will explore the prevalence, risk, protective factors, assessments, and safety strategies for individuals experiencing varying degrees of suicidal ideation. 3 CEs provided.
In this Presentation, we will be discussing the “Why” and “What” of providing trauma-informed care to those who have experienced developmental, relational, or shock trauma. The presentation will provide both knowledge and skills to utilize when working with these populations. Number of CEs: 4 hours of content
